That's not necessarily true. My 70 GS 455 had the numbers stamped on the front of the block behind the power steering pump. It was a Fremont built car and numbers matching.
Here a few pictures Once the 69 camaro leaves on my lift I can bring it in the shop for more picture of the underneath and check the rear end
So did one of my '70 cars - built at the Leeds plant. I think the GM plants were not as particular as the Flint plant was as to locations, etc. This car also had a body bushing that had a Chevrolet logo molded in the rubber - guess they ran out of Buick parts at one point.
Thanks for your opinion. And what do you currently own you-wish. Anything??? Kinda interesting you are a new member as of yesterday and already making opinions on people stuff. Then if it is not affordable for your broke pocket book. Then go find a running one that is original for 4500 or less.
Marc, beans your car wasn't built in Flint Michigan the Vin number should be on the flat spot behind the power steering pump on the driver side it's not on the cylinder head it's on the engine block below the cylinder head see picture

dropping the buick down to 7000. will drop the motor and tranny back into it for easier transporting if needed. someone can make me an offer. should go to someone that will have the time to correctly do this car. also you-wish was my older brother. he is mad. he lost to me and my middle brother in court for my dads property. and he was wanting to take a bunch of the other cars he was trying to claim. he got money. and we got the property and all the 28 muscle cars. including his 1970 factory two tone non vinyl top gto. he was trying to claim my dads 1970 olds 442 w-30 as well. so if I post anything on line for sale he finds it and screws with me about them like he did here. he gets board and fly a drone over to see what we have going on. but life will go on.
This car is now priced at 5000 or make me an offer Haven’t had time to drop the motor and tranny back in just yet. Thank you
The 70 Buick gs has sold coming in the next couple months will be a 1967 Buick gs 400 convertible project for sale
Hi Marc, I'd be interested in the Olds W-30 if you decide to part with it. I'm an old member of this site that recently reactivated my account. Thanks.
