Rebuilt & restored 8.2” 10-bolt 3:23 posi rearend, originally from a 1970 GS,but correct for 68-70 Skylark/GS. The housing does have minor pitting, but still very presentable. The housing, backing plates, and cover were powder-coated. Original GM 3:23 gears. New posi unit,NOT a rebuilt one. Timken bearings, seals. Assembled and ready to run. Price is $1300.00 plus freight,or pick up in Erie,PA.

Can you check freight to 28208? (with a loading dock if it helps)

I ship a lot of these Fastenal, store to store. They are about half of what a traditional freight company will charge.

I'm good with that. I live in Mooresville NC (28117 zip) and work in Charlotte near downtown. A branch close to either would work for me. Let me know

It would be $120.00 to ship via Fastenal, and it would go to the store located at 616 E. Westinghouse Blvd,Charlotte NC.
    Will that work?

Thanks. I can't wait. Going to be upgrading from a 2.56 open to a 3.23 posi.

Lucky you! I was planning on doing the same and looked for about a year for either an axle, or the internals. I lost patience and eventually went with a 8.5 with 3.23 posi. Now the 2.56 open is stored somewhere in the shed.
    Congrats on the good deal!

What are the chances you could do ones these with 3.64, providing FabCraft does another run? Or if you have a set in stock?

I have a nice 8.2 core I could send your way and would like it to be as close to bulletproof as possible

The ONLY set of 3:64’s I have are from FabCraft’s last run,and they are for my 70 GS 455 4-speed. I’ve just been waiting to build it until I am actually ready to put it under the car. I made a Tru Trac unit for it and will get 30-spline axles.
