If my 1970 GS455 (which came to me with 15" Rallye wheels) originally was shipped with G78x14 whitewall tires and Deluxe wheel covers, what color would the wheels have been? Black, body color, or something else?

I've come across this tire and wheel that is dated 1970 and just happens to look like my Seamist Green body color.

    BUQUICK I'm your huckleberry.

Full wheel covers like the Deluxe wheel covers, had black rims. Wheels were only painted the color of the car if it had the standard (small) hubcaps on the 14" wheels and not every color was used. Some cars, such as a white '70 Buick GS, still got black wheels. The available wheel colors changed each year and is usually shown in the assembly manual.

Thanks, Gary. I guess I'll just leave the 15 x 7 Rallye wheel and tire as my spare in the trunk. Is there a market for the tire & wheel combo I posted? The tire looks like it never hit the road and it's a G78 x 14.
