Looks like a nice GS that the ad says is a true Stage 1 Convertible. However, I contacted the seller/dealer and he states that the engine and tranny are not original. I've asked for additional info to verify it's a real Stage 1 and, so far, have not gotten any. He says he is having a professional "expert" look over the car and will get back with me. I've told him documentation is needed and referred him to the Sloan Museum. So, beware. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1753497690...=0&osub=-1~1&crd=20220731042532&segname=11021
Not for that price. No effing way. It's 2022. There's no reason in hell a car like this should be listed on the interwebs with zero documentation, a horribly detailed engine bay and no video of the car starting, running, driving and stopping. Not for $90K.
Probably fishing for a buyer that all they know or care to hear is 70 Stage 1 ragtop and look up auction results at best , probably run to the bank and pay full ask hoping to cash in.
Yes, and that kind of fraud hurts all of us. There should be some way to contact buyers of these high priced “tribute” cars that they should do their homework and consider legal action if the car was misrepresented.
Update on this. They took down everything saying that it was a Stage1. Now being offered as a regular GS455 convertible.
