Hi all, does anyone have any literature showing the proper layout and dimensions for a 1970 GSX stencil kit? Can anyone advise which order the the stripes and base cost should be applied?

    thanks

There are few threads on the stripe dimensions already with all the available information,.but as to the order

you lay the black down on top of the clear or single stage if you opted for that. I use 3/16 to lay the edges,..as its easier to work with,..but "correct" gap between the black and red is 1/8 ,.so you can't leave the 3/16 if you want it correct

Then tape up the black,.lay 3/16 or 1/4 in fine line next to the 3/16 you outlined with, then tape up the center

Pull the 3/16 up,..and lay 1/8 down up to up the tape on the edge of the black,..this will be the yellow or white line

Then run two more rows of 1/8in and pull the center one out that will be your red stripe

If you want to bury the stripes for a smooth shiny stripe,..you paint the stripes first the tape the up REALLY well and spray the yellow or white then clear

Also put some hardener in your base and let it dry for a few hours before masking to it and a drag the tape over your Jean's to take some of the tack off
