I have removed some of those from other inner fenders, when they were good. It’s a matter of finding what I did with them.
Brian, Any chance you have any more of the insulation from behind sail panels. Also the black plastic piece mounted above the Opera light. Kevin
I usually toss that sail panel stuff. I will be parting two more cars that might have it. Black plastic piece above the opera light? Do you have a picture?
if you come across some good insulation let me Know Black Plastic piece in your post #72 Picture of pass side sail panel. Its in the square cut out above the opera light mounting area. It has an opposite side mounted on the back of the sail panel . Just taking a chance they may be a savable part. thanks kevin
Brian, Also i need the wheel well stainless trim, all four. I'll definitely take a set if your going to sell them.
If I had my druthers I would be looking for a posi rear with a low to mid 300 ratio gear set. Something like 3.23, but without the taper roller axle bearings
Anything worth building will have the tapered roller axle bearings. The BOP 8.2’s had them. The mid-69/70 Buick 8.2” has them. All of the 71-72 8.5’s have them. Unless you go with a Chevy c-clip rear.
"Since you’re cutting it up, how about the right sail panel area to replace this previous “repair”? " If you are not in some huge hurry I will have a sail panel area available in the future, as, I'll be using a NOS quarter panel to repair a convertible quarter. Matt
No, but will see if I can find a pic. Does either this one or the post car have one )i.e. a known '70)?
I’ve parted a number of cars and some parts like that get stored together while some get stored with all the parts that came off that certain car.
How is this left sail panel section? Would you be willing to cut this part out? https://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/70-72-gs-ht-sail-panel-section-of-lr-quarterpanel.384882/ Thanks!
