This car is being parted because it is very rough. Originally a Jersey coast car. Last on the road in 1997. The original drivetrain is gone. It has a mid-70’s 455 with a 67 SP400. I can turn the engine over by grabbing the crank pulley. The hood is straight, but has one pin hole in the front pocket and the are two small patches welded on where there was hood pins before. ALL of the other body panels are absolute junk, except for maybe the tail panel. The grille has one crack and there is a flaw from when it was made where the material did not quite fill the mold. ALL tabs are good. Bumpers are straight, but pitted. Good stainless trim. 3 good wheel well moldings. The driver’s front wheel well molding has a scuff, but can be worked out. There is no right rear molding. Buckets, console, tilt, sport wheel, gauges, misc interior parts. I will post more pictures as I dissect it. Enjoy.
Maybe the fenders - Price? Maybe the wheels (if orig.?) LR wheelwell molding Radio bezel (if not warped) Dash pad (if not cracked or badly warped) I have the perfect Skylark shell here (very solid, factory buckets, vinyl top, but does have A/C) if anyone wants to save this car.
The fenders are toast from top to bottom. Typical of a coast car. I have a few radio bezels,if this one isn’t good. I have a few pairs of door strikers, including these. I think I will keep the FM radio,or at least until I see if I have one for my 4-speed car. I will be restoring the tilt column. It does not stay in place,so it needs serviced anyway. I have a button and contact for the sport wheel. I need to get that and the console removed to get a thorough look at condition. Bumpers are expensive to ship right now,but I can do it. Radiator support and inner fenderwells are rotted on both sides. Hood latch assembly works, but I need to find a pull handle for it. I should have one in my pile of parts. The front arm rests are both a little discolored and getting chalky, but both pads are still pretty good. Driver’s door panel has a rip at the bottom. The passenger door panel and rear panels are good. Dash pad is good. Black standard seat belts I won’t know about the frame until I can the body off. 3:64 rear is spoken for. The discs brakes should be the later one-piece rotor, since it is a late-70 car. The fan shroud is from a LeSabre, but has the original clutch fan. 4-row radiator looks like a 71-up style with the angled neck. I will report back soon.
I just want the fenders for the inner ('70) piece & as emblem hole templates. Don't necissarily need a radio bezel but that one looked particularly straight. Lmk price or dash pad & about wheels & LR ww molding.
DANO, I was already going to remove the inner aprons off the fenders and cut the emblem sections out. No worries there. I’ve been fortunate to part some cars with straight radio bezels. Do you need more than one?
In line for rear bumper. Also, I need one bucket seat track. Doubt you want to sell it separately but maybe you have a spare somewhere. Think it's the right side, have to look.
Brian, I'm interested in the tilt steering column (not the steering wheel) depending on price and shipping to 32757, Mount Dora Florida.
Brian, If the trunk chrome trim is devoid of dents, I'd be interested in that, the 6 screws that hold it to the deck lid and the small metal retainers that sit inside the trim. If you feel like it's unable to be polished, I'll still take the screws and retainers Let me know and thanks!
Interested in Package tray corners and horn button as well. (Didn't want to add/edit my post above). As mentioned above, interested in master cylinder if you think it can be salvaged/refurbished and correct for 1970. Looks a little rougher as I look on computer instead of phone this morning. Thanks again! No rush, take your time as you dismantle.
