I asked if a person could get a photo of the trunk floor and/or if someone could come inspect the car prior to bidding.

    But no response.

The 4 speed car was originally for sale in lindstrom Mn so not far from Wisconsin so could be legit? I sent the original seller a message to ask if he did indeed sale it

How long ago was it for sale in MN? The eBay ad says the current seller has had the car for 5+ years.

“This 1970 Buick GS 455 is an original. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle is drivable.”

Hmmmm not hardly 5 years ago as the ad stated. Bidders beware.

I sent a second message through eBay this morning asking for a phone number. No response.

The guy who was selling it for his mom earlier this year sent me a reply, he did indeed sell the car. That said, the location the car is posted in now is not far from where the previous seller lives.

    Thanks for confirming this.

So this also confirms that the statement in the eBay ad that claims 5+ years of ownership is false. I’ve still not gotten a response to my question asking if I can view car and also no response to my request for a phone number. Smells fishy.

Max Damage I'm working on it!

Seller has a lot of positive feedback, including from previous sale of cars. Looks legit.

The eBay seller did finally respond to my questions sent through on eBay. He said he timed his auctions poorly as he has been out of town for his job and had limited time to respond. Nothing fishy after all thankfully.

Bid away boys, I'll probably through a few bids as well. I'm putting some new tires on the trailer this week, maybe this will be the first trip. Good luck to all.

    Guys, this was all legit.

I know the guy selling all 3 of these cars. I actually worked on the Chassis of the 71 Blue GS 455.

Somebody will end up with a beautiful ragtop when it's done and back together. Stratomist Blue with a white interior - Legit Big Block car.

I thought about buying it last summer but to busy to finish my own projects lately.

    He's a Buick guy and has more than these . . . . .

Ugh . Sold the other day for $16,100 Sounds like someone got a good deal. Based on your comments and workmanship if you said that the other day I am sure the selling price would have been higher. If we had only known

Yeah the chassis & drivetrain alone was worth the selling price.

Not sure why more photos of the Chassis weren't posted but that was done and ready to do.

I didn't realize this was on E-Bay . . . . and this was not the original plan the owner had for this car.
Might be a "sign of the times".
