OZGS455 Oh what a wonderful day!

Was wondering if my car was ever on the forum, sellers description and description of the seller seem to add up to what I know to be true.
Wheels are different and drivers mirror is Chrome not a painted GSX??? item in that old pic.
I got a plastic tub full of history with the car, it's like gold.
3 photo albums of back to frame resto including detailed pics of inside engine including 1970 heads next to '71 heads, original sales receipts, All paperwork.
A Royale with the Works , you might say!
Even a B+W pic of the first owner and his wife standing next to the packed trunk ready to leave on summer vacation!
All I've done to the car is have my Carby wizard set it up properly, and he also tightened up the timing curve.
As well as me replacing the timing cover gasket that was weeping coolant .
Oh and I had Ian Splatt of Dragway Engineering(Wheels)
turn out the centres of the Rally wheels on rear and weld 10" bands so I could fill out the rear guards with some 295/50/15s
Car is mint save for a slight split in driver's seat.
Ran 13.78@99.45mph with me at the wheel, in the 2019 Nostalgia Drags, as well as taking out a trophy for Best Muscle Car in the show n shine that was running concurrent to the racing.
I used the show n shine area as my pit!:) export1638679109202.jpg

OZGS455 Oh what a wonderful day!

Guy I bought it from in Sydney got it off the fellow in Tasmania who bought it in 2011, using Gold Coast Muscle Cars as the importer, as I believe.
I've spoken on the phone to the fella in Tassie, he pulled the TH200 out n' refitted the original TH400.
Gave me the ph.no. of the Mopar guy in the US who sold it out of there.
I called him and talked about the car, that's when he said he was more of a Mopar man but got the opportunity to buy this Stage 1.
I gathered he did the resto, but he may have just freshened it up a little....he wasn't really that forthcoming with info.
That's the impression I got that the past is the past, he had moved on.
That's my impression anyway, I'm coming from the position of an excited new owner at the time, hungry for info.
Anyway , it is what it is.
A really nice Triple Black Stage 1

I have posted other pics and stories on here before the world shut down for a while.
Buicks under a good car cover in my workshop while I tinker with some Aussie cars.
She comes out occasionally for a cruise night or car show, or a trip down the 1320 20191020_095409.jpg
