Too bad it's not a 455 (or even a GS). Nice car though. I really do like those colorful interiors. You don't really see anything like that anymore. Just black and (bleagh) gray.

Anybody know what that thing on top of the dash is for?

Good catch, I missed that. Yea, that should have the 'safety' bumper on the front. Doesn't look right with the turn signal partially hidden by the bumper.

And it has a compressor on the engine. No mention of it in the ad. Sus
The fact he's leaving that out and calling it 98% is suspect. Engine not original to the car maybe?

The undercarriage photo is also suspect as everything is black. Looks like someone painted it all. Who knows what the condition of the metal actually was. I'd take a brown surface rust original over mysterycoat any day

Take a look at the engine bay, the brake master cylinder is what the rest of the car's metal generally is. Woopsy, forgot to coat that one in black ;)

When I painted the underside of my car I used a crystal clear enamel so you can see the state of the metal at the time of painting.

That is an AIR pump which I believe is correct on a '73. Nothing to do with AC.

Oh I see, well you learn something new every day :D
AC would go to the left of the alternator then I'm assuming?

Was black with a green interior available from the factory? It is a strange combo...

66electrafied Just tossing in my nickel's worth

I would have thought that green in black combo was a cover up for a respray, but it might not have been. I think it looks cheesy, a guy used to see a lot of old green low budget farmer buggies hastily repainted flat black or black and they looked...well...cheap. The chassis-black stuff that's painted a nice semi-gloss, yeah, I've got a few issues there. If a guy was interested it would be worth running the numbers on it just to see how much of a yarn this guy is selling here.
