As Tom stated, I owned the car after him. I did install a correct completely restored shifter and linkage. Also had the transmission completely rebuilt($1800). This car was as nice underneath as it was on the top side.

One of two things is going to happen here for certain.
Either we are going to see how cheap an incorrect car sells for, or we are going to find out just how goofy the market is and see that a fool and his money are soon parted.

If the fool ends up with this nice car and he's happy with it, is he really a fool?

The right information is on the listing and the right Q & A also, so it’s worth whatever it sells for to someone. Personally I would like to have it but BAT is notoriously high so I doubt it’ll be coming to my garage.

I like it too, sunroof the biggest drawback for me. But I’m not a stock - original person.

Many speculation on what anyone thinks it will sell for ?

I’ll say 25k for what is, if it were an original black 4 speed sun coupe, 50K+sky is the limit.

I am going to guess it goes closer to 40k. Not too many of these that you can hop in and drive. Plus, what kind of car can you buy for 25k these days?

Yeah, there are just some little things that minor effort, and maybe a half days worth of work would make the presentation so much better, like vacuum the damn carpet, replace the missing valve stem caps, fix vent under the dash, touch up a couple small stone chips. Remove and repaint the headlight bezels, geeesh!
All easy stuff that needs to be addressed.

**Sorry about the headlight bezels bidders, that one is on me. Guess I should have hit them with self etching primer before shooting the satin black? Oops**

I see that nobody is picking up this car for a song anymore. If the bids keep rising, I'll be out. It does appear to be a very nice solid car, but too much 'wrong' with it to command real big money IMHO.

I get the feeling the seller didn't think much would happen with this car, hence the lack of effort. That or they are very new to this.

I think it’s just the opposite, this car will bring crazy money because it’s black, white buckets and shiny ✨ Stage 1 4-speed, regardless of the fact it’s not as born. IMHO if it was a numbers car and born this way it would be $50k, it’ll bring mid $30’s easily.
Yea if it was under $25K Ild still be bidding.

I went back and looked at the Volo listing and noticed something That’s not in the current listing, the top is painted white, not covered in vinyl. Can’t tell that from the picture, Bummer.

Yes that car was an Auto originally, Blue with a bench seat. and not a Sun Roof car.
My black car was originally Harvest Gold and a real 1 of 92 Stage1 4 speed.

Why is that a bummer? They weren't all vinyl tops, some were painted, like this one is.
There were two style of "A" pillar covers, one style was smooth for painted top cars, and one style was textured to match the vinyl top texture on vinyl top cars.

I want a vinyl top that’s the bummer, and I have never seen anything past 1972 with a painted top……just sayin’ this would be new to me.

Interesting question came up last second. Are the 73 GS supposed to boxed rear control arms and a rear sway bar? I don't know.

If it has rally ride or f41

    73-77 weren't boxed, I don't believe.
The sway bars bolted into the bottom of the arms differently than the 64-72's
