The back glass could be a front windshield of another car

Is that back glass one piece or three? If it is one piece I could only imagine what a replacement would cost!

"Hot wire" production method, so it ended up as one piece, just like the 1971-1973 Riviera or the boxy Caprice/Impala rear glass.

That's a pretty rare car, only 2,453 were built.
Last year of the big Toronados.
    Jay Leno owns one.

Here's a "hot wire" Toronado rear window for sale on eBay, 1977 is the same as 1978:

Very Rare hot wire rear windshield in excellent condition, with good defrost wire connections.

Just like the Boattail rear window: they never break under normal conditions, check the for sale posts on this board.
Sellers couldn't give them away for free, nobody needs one.

I never cared much for the rear window in that car, but I always thought it would make a cool aquarium with a couple more pieces of glass added.

And you could use the rear defroster to keep the fish warm!:D

Always thought the Toro's of this vintage and especially the XS was one of the worst designed cars ever. Looks like 6 committees in 6 location all designed a separate area and then put them all together. It's hard to believe that was the child of the 66 Toro.

Already heated, just use the defroster... :D
