1992 Chevy Sport 4x4

    1992 Chevy Sport 4x4 K1500 truck.

    385 Chevy Sport 4x4 trucks built in final year (1989-1992) in final year of production.
    200 were black, 115 red with only 75 built in white, the only 3 color offered.

    The BYP Sport option was only offered on regular cab, fleetside ,short box.

    Truck is all original, never modified, original driveline (350 TBI Fuel injected,700R overdrive auto trans,3.73 rear axle), original interior, original decals and some paint .
    Sold new in Kansas.

    Chevy used a lot of the 454 SS pieces to build the rare Sport trucks

    No these truck came with GM Corporate 8.5 inch 10 bolt rear axle.
    Same axle core as Buick Grand National.

    That's nice! I had a 1990 Sport I ordered new. They only made 1,373 with the BYP option in 1990.

    Chris thanks for posting pic of your 1990 Black Chevy Sport 4x4.

    Chevrolet actually produced 1,848 ,1990 Chevy Sport 4x4's in 1990 ,of which 349 of that # were delivered new in Canada.

    Chris how was it ordering that Sport at the Chev dealership any details to share?
    Seems as if BYP Sport option was grouped in with other options on factory window stickers that I have seen, can you shed some light on this/stories?

    I've recently acquired a 93 full size blazer. It's a desert rig with no rust. I'm very happy with it. Huge improvement over an old school K5, and I love K5s..
