Yes the 2 barrel with a rear end gear change would be more responsive than doing the 4 bb swap

Love to hear that, thank you, any other suggested upgrades to go with that? already thinking about the 200 4R transmission to go with the gears possibly 3.73 new to all this so any help is amazing.

Hi, yes the 200 trans is an amazing upgrade! I would even go with a 4.10 gear and the overdrive. I run 32” tall tires, 4.56 gears and a built 2004R with a turbocharged buick 350.

when you do engine upgrades later the trans and gearing will help again huge!

be sure to get a good limited slip or possi setup too....

That sounds awesome!! Looking forward to it big time, will most likely keep the gears low for daily driving and highway trips. Cant wait to share progress! right now looking at HEI Distributor upgrade. im not a mechanic by any-means but def will be diving into some work on my own.

truth of the matter most people are used to driving modern regular cars and so forth. 200 rwhp isnt bad for something you just want to drive around especially when you weigh the same as alot of them. my point if you idea of driving is something like a new camary or a chevy tahoe then the car isnt going to feel that slow to you. however if your used to something along the lines of roush mustang then it will feel slow. so just depends on his expectations really. me im at the point as long as it will do as good as a new pickup im happy. i think id be happy at 300rwhp and a od trans. that would put you as fast as anything you could just go out and buy. 3600 lb skylark with 300 rw hp is prob as fast or faster than 350 rwhp camaro weighing 4200 lbs. not crazy money to get there either.
