    Driven Class

Hey David, I don't think there is a driven class for the modified division...yet.

I know at the general membership meeting in Batavia that there were a lot of questions about the driven class and what can disqualify a car. I understand Pat's position about the driven class is geared towards those who want to then go into 400 point judging at later National meets. But as I am sure Joe remembers from that meeting, it was a hotly contested subject. :eek2: A lot of "smaller" modifications in my view will disqual the car from the driven award. That's why they are looking into a driven class for modified Buicks so they can also have the same advantages. But, I don't think they have it yet. It would be a good question for Pat Brooks or Rick Schick.

But David, there is no reason you cannot register in the Modified division. They break it down in categories including mild.

That is, if any GS can be called mild... :3gears:

GSJohn BUICK is a beauty too!!

Hi all,..............My wife and I have our room reserved. We live an hour and a half from Rochester and we are looking forward to it. We will have our Black over White 65 Skylark Gran Sport there. My brother is bringing in his 64 Skylark Sport Coupe which is in full restoration right now and will be done come spring, and I am talking my 78 year old Dad into bringing his 63 Electra 225 convert (new paint) and his 64 Wildcat (39,000 act miles, & all original) over as well. Hopefully, we'll have 4 Tri-Shields there! Below is a photo of mine.
    Till then!! :beer

Although not a great quality photo, this is my Dads 64 Wildcat, all original down to the dual white stripped tires. Note the 50 Studebaker behind it.
