    Thanks for the pics, Mark.:kodak:
I love that little 54 conv. Do you know who it belongs too?
The others weren't too shabby either!

As expected, I missed it. I landed at SeaTac a little after 11:00 pm and waited over an hour for luggage. Our previousl boating commitment was fulfilled and I was on the water until 6:30PM. No worries as I had nothing to do but relax on the water in the sun though. Hope y'all had a good time.

I saw a few of the cars heading south as we were heading north to Federal way So if anyone saw a buick skylark vert (bright Yellow GSX strips) traveling north on i-5 between tacoma & Federal way that would have been us.

just had the car on the road a couple days & wanted to drive it alittle before we had to reno.

This '54 Skylark won best of show. I couldn't keep away from it. To say the restoration was an "outstanding job" is an understatement. The black paint was the best I've ever seen.

This show was the most fun my wife, daughter, brother and I have had
at a car show for a long time. The cruise to the triple-X drive-in was a
blast and meeting alll the other Buick enthusiast's from all over the country.
    The weather was great.

I went, and had a complete overdose on Buicks. Man what a show and the cars were great!! I should have brought my Kitty, but what the heck. I'm still looking at all the pictures. After I left the show I went to another one in Puyallup which consisted mostly of chevy's, fords, and mercs. Out of almost 30k cars there were only 6 Buicks that I saw. The entire day was a great one that I'll never forget. :TU:

Here a few of the pics that I was able to snap during the show. I had a great time meeting and talking with a really great bunch of people. While we filled the 2 hotel parking lots we had, and parking was at a premium, I thought that most people were respectful of the cars and careful when looking. The first few are board members cars... Enjoy!! :beer

To MarkO, Chris, Doug, Bruce, Harvey, Eric, et al:

I'd like to express my thanks to all of you who attended the meet. It's great to see your photos here. I'll repeat what I wrote yesterday on the BCA forum:

My wife and I had a wonderful time during the Seattle Nationals, and it was because of all of you who incurred the effort and expense to attend.

Thank you all for your enthusiastic participation and gracious attitudes. The meet was a reminder that the BCA is not only about great cars; it's the wonderful people that make me proud to be a Buick guy and part of the BCA.

It was a pleasure to meet many of you for the first time, and I look forward to maintaining new friendships during the years (and future National Meets) that lie ahead.
    --------

You know, there were times when I walked onto the showfield and was almost overwhelmed by the beauty of the Buicks on display. Earlier today, I received a telephone call from a photographer for "Collectible Automobile" magazine. I had invited Gary to the meet, and he was floored by the display of awesome Buicks. For many of the Pacific Northwest BCA members who were attending their very first National Meet, seeing the Buicks was an unforgettable experience.

While I was pleased by the active participation of Buick itself in planning the meet, I found myself wishing that the people making decisions at GM could gain some sense of Buick's incredible design history and the passion that we feel about these cars.

I had a great time at the show too. I only work about 5 minutes away, so I stopped by during the week. On Saturday I took my wife and father. We got there just in time to watch them load the heritage cars onto the truck. The 1951 LeSabre was interesting, the only brake light is in the round pod in the center of the car on the back. So when you step on the brakes it looks like a jet engine with the after burner on. Chris, the guy driving the cars out of the hotel, let a guy ride in the Y Job with him when he drove it out. When Chris drove the Blackhawk out he took that guys wife and my wife for a trip around the parking lot in the Blackhawk. I don't think she will ever forget that ride! The other couple was from Vancouver Canada and had the black 1957 Special convertible.

On a side note, I was a bit disapointed that there was no tire laid on site. :Dou: What a polite bunch.:beers2:

We had several instances from Factoria thru downtown to help the DOT coat the roads.

We had a very heartwarming conversation with a couple of Bellevues finest who asked us to open the dumps and let 'er rip. We declined but let them have a little taste of that new powerplant as we moved on thruough the Arts show...

Oh, the morning mist in the open vert did suck!

flybrian, I invited Trevan Simon (venseattle) to attend the Meet. I assume that this is your friend.

I'd like to follow up with Trevan to see how he enjoyed himself.
