Ok racers I'm coming from Seattle,, how the track does it have a good PA system or do they have a radio station to have on in the trailer to hear when your call to the lanes anyone know about some test and tune runs I 'm going to need someone back their to show me the ropes of this track thanks Ken

The PA is good if you are near a speaker... (And no open header cars are running...) They do broadcast on FM.
Wednesday open test and tune you could literally almost drive in circles. Thursday (also all day open test and tune) will be busier, but not much wait in the staging lanes. Not much test and tune Friday or Saturday--mostly calling classes for qualifying, with short intervals of open T & T. Eliminations usually start midday Saturday.

Are slicks allowed? Any size limit?
    Full exhaust required?
    Full interior?

    Jim,
I'm noticing all these bracket race cars that are going to be entering this class and I would like to know what the rules are? Are you allowing them to run electronics, trans brakes, deep staging, ect.

I would hope no transbrakes.....that would put others without then at a real disadvantage on a .4 PRO tree.

Deep staging should not be permitted ,no matter what car you run.
On a .4 tree electronics don't help. I race on a .4 pro tree, 9.90 index series program and electronics is worthless.
A trans brake makes launching more consistent, if it was outlawed you may lose car count.
Make it a .500 tree to level the playing field for everyone

    Just my .02 worth.

If deep-staging isn't allowed then neither should trans-brakes !!! There is no way that a foot-brake car can compete against a trans-brake car on a 0.4 PRO tree in index type racing !!! Lets level the playing field and state that "No electronics (i.e. trans-brakes, throttle-stops, etc.) are allowed in this class." That way when I line-up against the competitor next to me, I know we are sitting the same (car & driver vs. car & driver). If he beats me, then I will be the first to shake his hand and congratulate him on a fair race. Just my $.01 worth....

    Guys,

All are legal. The bracket style pro tree deal evens the playing field. If some guys insist on pushing the envelope for $600 so be it. We start adding a bunch of rules and the class will die again.

I agree Steve but what I have been doing against the trans brake cars is bumping in real quickly, a couple quick bumps. Not to the point of going deep, though. Can be risky as sometimes the tree flashes when bumping and I'm done....can't multitask....I'm old.
I prefer a .5 PRO tree since my car leaves like mush....4200 converter with 3.50 gear.

Jim, maybe switch to .5 tree so the slower leaving cars have a chance? That's what some tracks have done around here and the car count came up.....

I would agree that this class should be run with a .500 Pro tree (if available)

This brings the red light back into play for everyone.

As long as you see yellow, the faster, trans brake cars do have quite the starting line advantage with a .400 tree. We have a similar class at BIR, and one of my friends almost always wins it, he has a Nova that will go .020 to .040 on a 400 tree with a brake.. most of the guys in that 10.50 index class are above .100 on that tree.

a .500 tree will give you better racing, with the high 9 to low 12 second cars I think your going after here.

While the trans-brake delay box guys will still theoretically have an advantage, the pro start is so different from the 3 amber tree these guys are used to running, it will mute their advantage.

I completely agree with the no rules, run what'ya brung attitude.

Running with a .400 tree will eventually turn this class into a fast car only field, and will hurt car count.

I also think this change is something for you guys to think about for next year and beyond.. you have already announced the package for this year, and it's important to follow thru with the class as first laid out. Changing rules 3 weeks before the event is typically trouble.

good stuff Jim i have to agree you and Steve. trans brake cars do have the upper hand and i feel like a sacrifical lamb not running one. so since this is a "no rules" class i will be able to deep stage then? i'd use this against cars running trans brakes to even the playing field on my chance in winning. maybe next year we can have a class that is ran on a .500 pro bracket class that is limited to a 10.5 tire, full exhaust, full interior,no lexon windows,no fiberglass panels or bumpers,no trans brakes or any electronics, naturally aspirated engines. scoops, any cu in motor, after market wheels and brakes, headers, and roll bars allowed. basically the same as the BCO class ran at BPG......fast STREET CAR class. 3 qualifying runs and the fastest run is your dial-in that can't be changed.

I don't think changing to a .500 tree at this time would be unfair to anyone planning to race this class.
there isn't anyone who has built a class specific car to race in BG.their car is already what it is.
Change to a .500 tree and make a level playing field for everyone.
Heck,I've seen some chassis cars go .00 or even red on a .400 tree. The foot brakers don't have a chance.
