    Dan,
No rules were changed at all since deep staging was always allowed so I dont know what you are talking about. I brought the rules thread back up from last year if you want to check out my post #49 dated 9/24/14 saying the rules were set. Im sorry you feel like some shenanigans were going on but you have my word they were not.

    Ethan,
Did you get your engine issue all squared away? And I wear a 3xl if you have it in that size. Big boy here.....thx for getting the sponsors to. Might have to bring the 68 race car this year

The Engine is sitting Square on the transport stand rite now ha, taking it on a little roadtrip either this weekend or next , Hope to be making passes by late July, same combo just adding Eagle or TA Sportsman rods .

3x is no problem and there will more Sponsors and money to come as we get closer, my goal is $2500 to win, which I sincerely don't see being too optimistic.

No problem, im just glad to be a part of it and hopefully go a round or two. With all the talk of the Nats POTENTIALLY coming to an end we need to go all out,and show out!....just in case. And if it does live on we'll try and make bigger and better every year

I can only bring one car at a time. Need to start dusting the cobb webs of the race car. Plus,I've been done with any street bruising down there or anywhere since "98" when I lost my red 69 GS. Might have to do that street bruising with a certain yellow 72 Zzzzzz GS. Should be woken up from its' long hibernation by then.

    That was you?!?

I remember that car tear assing all over BG, then leaving on a rollback with the front end killed. Always wondered who that was.

Yep, that was him and I Jim and despite what all the Aholes in town said we WERE NOT drag racing, The drunk YES DUI drunk lady turned left in front of us I was able to stop but Mike was in the curb lane and never saw her and hit her as she turned left in front of us.

Big Thanks for the initiative Steve, I hope that as many competitors as possible share their feelings, questions or concerns.

The things that jump out at me are as follows :

    1. ( Mufflers with exhaust to rear differential ) I myself , am all for this as it just really permeates "Fast with Class" but may negatively affect car count which we want to build at this point. But if guys are willing to throw some pipes and muffs on , then cheers

    2. The tree, .400 or .500 , im impartial either way and will try to use the feedback provided here to hammer that down.

    3. Transbrakes, there again im a Footbrake guy but they have been allowed in the past so thats up for discussion

    4. Deep staging, IMO this will only become a issue if transbrakes are permitted ,goin by what was allowed last year so we'll see how that plays out

It was mentioned that Apollos were allowed to run in the past in GSR, if they were, then I will also welcome them, ABSOLUTELY no Gbodies or any Abody past 1974

So Speak up guys the sooner we have it all hashed out the sooner what should be very small changes if any to cars or drivers can begin. I will say that May 1st will be the cutoff for rules discussion. If there is not enough participation/discussion then the rules remain as they were found at the start of this thread. Just please remember its not ALL about the money, its about camaraderie, friendly competition, and support of the Buick Racing community. So if the rules end up not what you are hoping for , remember the above and come out and play anyway!

Well said Steve and Ethan. We do need to keep car count up,but at the same time not turn the GSR class into a fall back bracket class for those who aren't fast enough to make the super 16 field. I don't believe the class will suffer a low car count with the rules that Steve proposed. Plus with the sponsorships Ethan's rounding up,it might be worth buying some mufflers if thats what you are missing to run in the class.

is this gonna be a raceday decision again? :Do No: common guys, lets lock this thing up. is it gonna be a streetable race car class,or a bracket class for full out race cars that are to slow to qualify for Q-16?

It will not be a last minute decision I promise , matter of fact unless racers start to communicate their Ideas I very well may move up.the deadline for open discussion on the rules. So speak up fellas

I did not race last year, but I thought the class went well with the rules that it had, and the way everyone was paired up according to E.T, and lane choice with reaction time. Anyone disagree?
