Does or where can I get the front and rear main seals, the upgrade ones. I do not want to use the rope parts.
does the 300 or the rover have these new seals ?

Buick V6 front seal, 200 Ford straight six rear seal. You have to polish the crank where the rope seal was. Remove any pins that were intended to hold the rope seal, RTV in seal groove. Front seal mounts from inside the cover.

D&D Fabrications, for sure. I’ve been having the same problem but I don’t mind using the rope seal, but I’m having trouble finding even that. The Felpro BS 13044-2 does NOT fit.

In my notebook I have jotted down: 2 piece rear seal, Felpro # 40613. Check it out, if it works (or don't) please report back and let me know.

    40613 is for a Buick 225 V-6, won’t fit a 215.

I understand what your saying. But if I wrote it down in my notebook that means somebody else tried it and it worked for them. Everything that is wrote down in my notebook is what others have tried and have had success with.

I wouldn't suggest something unless I know or relatively sure it will work. I'm not just guessing here.

Well, I got the Ford seal, trimmed and installed. I used that one because that’s what D&D sells, I guess we’ll just see if it works.

  9. How did the Ford 200 rear main seal work out for you? I'm working on a 215 in a '71 Rover and would really like to use the Ford seal if it worked out well for you.
