I have around 9:1 compression and 14 degrees of advance and cranks over with ease. Hundreds of starts with this thing while testing and tuning. Another guy on here has been running one on his 455 for way longer than me. The t/a performance starter is most likely built with better internals...but maybe not a justifiable expense.
