5461 RPM at 122 MPH, so yeah, that converter is working, 6% slip.

Your going to right there I ran many many years with stk rods and arp bolt at those rpm, shifted 5800 in each gear and let it roll out the end, I had 29x10 tires though, sometimes 30x9 when they were out of the other. Truely never notice much difference between the 2 tires in performance

It will be right there at 6k

One thing I should mention is that for the fastest ET, most of those in the know suggest shifting at 200-400 past peak HP, and trapping at whatever shift rpm you use. Without dyno info your going to just have to experiment.

Which is why we always do at least one pull on the dyno to well past the peak rpm for a race motor.. to insure it doesn't drop off like a rock..

The car I referenced above, had a peak HP at 5700 rpm.

I still want to drive the car on the streets at times as well. So might go with 3.73 or keep 3.55 gears.

I think 373 gear. I run that with the 350 I think I am at 5100 thru the traps. 101.5 mph. I could use the 410 gear as I use a 4 speed auto and lock up convertor.

Yup that's what I'm gonna do. Go with 3.73 gears and sell the 4.10 with the posi unit.

Just go with all new guts.

Brian, I'll get a hold of you in a week or two if I'm interested. I'm gonna remove and clean this center section up next weekend.

I've seen a brand new 3.73 with an Eaton posi was $1200 or something from jegs.

Would you wanna do a trade possibly Brian?

I try and build everything I can with a 3-series,so I don’t have much use for 4-series carriers. I friend of mine also has a lightly used 3-series Tru Trac that I could get you connected with. It’s winter,so you have time to figure it out. You’re not at the track, calling me for emergency surgery. Yes,that has happened.

I have to get my motor back together yet first. Gotta wait until March for that. Too cold.

My rebuilt 3-series Eaton posi unit is $400.00 and I will pay the shipping from that. It has all the good pieces in it.

30 spline and clutch style? And would just need the gears for install? Sorry about these last questions. Sounds like a good deal.

Yes. The Eaton clutch style and 30-spline. Yes. You would need a ring & pinion.
