I have been using chevy 1 ton trans in my trucks they are duallies they have lower 1st gear and heavier guts i but them in buick cases bolts on no adapter.I turn high 14s and use truck to haul fuel to dozers it weights 6300lbs empty.Just a mild 455 cam headers rest is stock pretty much.I have never hurt one of these trans.No overdrive but alot cheaper
