523” combinations

    I suspect that there is an existing thread on this subject; if so, I’d appreciate help finding it as I’ve tried and failed.
    I have a 4.4” stroke crank and I’d like to use it in a girdled 455 block, as I can’t afford a Tomahawk.
    I’m looking for input from people who have experience building and racing this engine combination. It would be great if people would share cam and piston data, as well as any performance numbers and so forth.

    Make u hard block the short block, for insurance reasons

    Probably not many of those in service anymore,...that's what my tomahawk was gonna be tho

    No personal experience here so talking out my ass,....but I myself would use that for a badass street engine and keep the cid under 500,....seems like the iron stuff runs better and last longer in the 470 to 482 range,...maybe cause the heads we end up with are more suited to those cid not sure,...just can't recall any big cid stuff running like you think it would should or could
