64' Rough Wildcat Convertible

This was a pretty sharp car when new. Might be too far gone at this point.

I has the factory short handle 4 speed.

 

It is/was on CL for $6,500

 

Another example of someone looking for the phone number for the junk yard when they learn a fully restored version of the car can go for around $40k.

 

OMG...what a shame.......that is one RARE WILDCAT......so sad but it could still donate parts from the drivetrain to make a 4-speed 'Cat.....dang......

Hopefully someone will buy it and save it.

 

Mark.....it would be so incredibly expensive to restore that car...let alone source parts.....only hope is to find a 64 Cat that is good and transplant that 4-speed set-up....but that might be a one of 10 or 20 car.....

p.s.....and that trailer hitch in the last photo worries me about the condition of the 4 speed.....despite what the odometer shows

 

Probably 1 of 1 considering the color combination (looks to be seafoam green with tan interior), convertible, and 4 speed. I dig it for sure.

 

Anyone know how many were built with a 4 spd ?

Looked like an automatic console to me

 

Only difference between a 4-speed console and an automatic console in a 64 Cat is the section or plate where the shifter is.....
