I like how the bars and dash mesh. Do you have a headliner?

Steve, I don't know which one is more impressive, your eye for detail, or you fabrication skills. Seems like everything you do goes to the Nth degree, color me impressed (again). I said your GSX was one of the most well thought out and built cars I had ever seen in person, I think you may trump that with this one. Can't wait to see the finished product and all the steps along the way.

Thanks for the compliments guys!! The new headliner is in place. It needed to go in before any of the bars. I can't say that it went "perfectly" with the headliner in place, but very minimal damage that won't be visible. LOL

20180627_190308_001 (1).jpg 20180627_195652 (1).jpg Some progress, but not much to look at. The cage is done and a little over half of the floor welded back up around the cage. I did make some progress on the belt drive setup for the blower as well as the alternator and vacuum pump. I'm currently working on fabricating the mounts for them as well as the oil filter housing. SLOW but steady wins the race...……… yea right!! LOL

Is that a custom made blower bracket? Planning a hot air system or going to try to fit a heat exchanger in between. Love the looks of the belt drive. Sill be crazy fun when done

The bracket was made by Rob Girioux and purchased from Bobb Mackley. I did have to do some modifications to it and I'm not finished yet, so I suspect it will get modified again. It started out as a very nice piece, but I needed to make it work for my application.

I had a plan to add an intercooler, but decided that it was too much to try to fit in the very limited space, at least during the initial build. Once I have it running well, I can always make the necessary mods to install one if I feel the need. After talking with a lot of "informed people", I'm not sure it's really required at the boost levels I'll be running. I'm looking at 10 lbs of boost max, and an intercooler is not really needed until the boost levels get higher. It would definitely help keep everything cooler and make a little more HP, but I think it'll be fine without one. (1100-1200 should be enough for a street car!! LOL) I am however maintaining the space required if I decide to go that route.

Progress has been slow...….summer stuff, customer stuff, my age, etc! I'm in the process of routing the lines and finishing the under hood mock-up. I also had a chance to finish my fuel tank...….. about 24 gallons...….I need fuel to cruise! Also finished my oil pan a few weeks ago...……..I guess I am making progress, it's just not evident on the actual car.

Getting near final mock up for the engine compartment. Wouldn't take long if I could just stick to it...…… but. I plan on having the engine running N/A on a stand and then, (when all's good) I'll add the ProCharger and accessories when fitting it into the car.

FINALLY...…..had a few days to work on the car. After traveling for work, the Nat's, SEMA & the wife losing her job I haven't been in the shop much as of late, except for SRE product.
This long weekend gave me the opportunity to finish the brake pedal assembly, mount the new master (after building an adapter), make new reservoirs (vs. the plastic ones that came with the master), weld up the swing out/removable door bars, weld up the inner wheel tubs and welded up and clearanced the front fenders. Lots of work and little to show for it all! LOL
