Well, the battery tray project on my 'cat has become much larger. Due to rust under the original battery tray and inner fender/core support, the headlight bracket is cracked and must be replaced. I have a nice used one but it has been stripped, so I'll have to swap over 60 year old headlight adjustment parts. I think the plastic nuts are the same as on many GM models and have been repopped, but the screws are different and don't seem to be available. I can probably use my old ones if cleaned up. The springs are another story as they are very rusted and one has already been rebent. They don't seem to be listed in the parts books. I am wondering if another GM models will work that is supported by the aftermarket. Any ideas are appreciated.
