The Fit of the lines - Overall it was good. There were a couple of places where I put a piece of rubber hose just to prevent rubbing/create a tighter fit. If you are doing a show car, I would bend/create the lines yourself.

The prop. valve is supported just by the lines. The lines from the prop. valve are extra thick/strong.

The spacer "thingy" is a rubber brake line spacer that I picked up at an "old time" auto parts store.

    Hey Dan,

Is the reason for the shorter shaft because of going to a disc brake master cylinder? I was told there was no diff in the boosters.... :Do No:

    Jerry-

Buicks in '65 had single cylinder "old style" drum brake master cyclinders. So when I bought the '65 Buick power booster, it was set up (with the long style rod) for that orginal master cylinder. '64-66 (?) Buicks used the smaller booster.

So when I used the '67 Skylark DISC master cylinder (the 1st year of disc brakes), it was the "newer" type of master cylinder, and therefore requiring the shorter style rod.

I hope that's not too confusing; let me try to summarize:

64-66 Buicks used a single cylinder "old" style drum brake master cylinder, and a small diameter power booster, thus requiring the longer rod.

67-72 Buicks used a 2 chamber "new" style disc brake master cylinder, and a large diameter power booster, requiring a small rod.

So I needed to use the shorter rod because I was using a small diameter master cylinder (64-66) on a "new" style disc brake master cylinder (67-72).

Anyone trying to complete this swap for a 64-66 Skylark, simply buy the correct smaller booster, and swap it out with a short rod from a large booster -- plentiful at the junkyard.

    Help Jerry!!!!!!!!!

I have purchased the in line line set and have the car off the frame. I am using a original 71 prop valve. I am trying to figure out how to connect the front lines. Do the lines go from the prop valve straight to the front disc hoses and the line from the right front looks to be too short to make it to the master cylinder?

    Thanks for and help

Hi Nick I am trying to figure out the lines. I have the ones on the rear end and know which line runs along the frame but I dont know how the other lines work. I have an original 71 prop valve that should be mounted by the master cylinder and I dont know how the lines run?

I hope Dan and chime in here and offer some advice.
