I am looking for the molded adapter that goes from the firewall on the 68 GS to the aircleaner, making this a ram air type induction system.

Hey, that is my pic and parts and carpet..... Yes it is a for real item. Even carries a GM part number on the box and my 1972 parts manual lists it. It was offered to turn your 68 GS hood into a ram air setup. It has the GM instructions and template with it. Best I can figure for that metal ring is its to stop the boot from collapsing. It doesn't fit anywhere else.

I was told Buickfrank was repopping them but he is not. I have spoken with him about it.

Sorry Mike ! it was me that out bid you...... And sorry its not for sale. Marcel.

isn't this more of a cowl induction than a ram air ?

Ohh ... and Mark, when did you get a '68 ?!?!?!?

If you consider that the cowl is positively pressurized at higher speeds, you have "ram air".

Mark, best I could offer you is a copy of the installation instructions form Buick Motor Divison. It was reprinted in the eary 80's in a KB news letter. At that time it still available from GM.

I have only seen one GM one installed and it is on a 70 car. thanks Bill.

I can do it. The 68 ram-cowl-air. Who is interested? Is there any one here into sheet metal? I can use someone to make a part. Frank
