68 tire sizes

    1968 GS. Has anyone ran a 215 60 15 on front with a 245 60 15 on rear? how dies it look and if you have any pictures!! Thanks Frank

    215/60 is a little tire. I’d think you’d want a 215/65 at the least (same height as 235/60).

    Old car, but 245/60/15's all the way around, perfect stance IMO.

    That's exactly what I did with mine. Previously it had 215/65R15 size all the way around.

    Patrick the 245 rubs when turning tight. Thats why I'm considering changing the fronts to a narrower tire. Frank

    You might check to see what was causing the interference. I too ran 245/60/15s on a ‘68. The chassis and inner wells are the same as a ‘70, and 245/60s are the same as G60s. Actually some G60s are wider (I measured one once against a 255/60, and the G60 was wider).

    No, no really. I just wanted wider tires and the 215s were really old and starting to come apart.

    This was with the 215/65R15s.

    I haven't taken any pictures since I put the 245s on it.
