Getting ready to take an instrument bezel to Just Dashes to be redone. Have a radio bezel. Need the face plate for the climate controls.
    Thanks to all, as always.

I saw that. Mine is the gray or argent? Having never seen a new one until I saw the pictures of the one Fred sold.
I always thought mine had a little Blue in the writing. Sure looks like that in Fred's pictures. I am hoping when I
take what I have to Just Dashes they will also have some references.
There is also Thepartsguy I think. He sells reconditioned controls. I sent him a e mail as well.
Thanks for looking. Have a good weekend.
    Marc.

I was going to suggest you Steve but didn't think you made 'em for the '69's.

Marc, I got Steve's black non-woodgrain for a '70 and while I haven't installed it yet it sure looks nice. PM him on here & save him the eBay fees:).

Well its cheap enough that you could use it until ya come across something better. Im not sure this was ever a stand alone replacement part. Probably had to buy the complete control back in the day.

I agree that there probably wasn't just a replacement face plate. I remember reading on a thread here that a GM engineer was quoted as saying they only planned on these cars lasting something like 4 years.

I am not fixing my car up. It is a fine driver for now. It was my Dads and has been in the family 30 years. I have told the story before, but my dad was a car dealer. He had 100's of cars over my lifetime. This was the only car he kept.

I am putting together whatever I can now for a full , frame off restoration in the future. It is a family heirloom. I will leave it to my brother most likely. He is much younger than me.

I am pretty sure this stuff will not get easier to find or less expensive down the road.

Thank you for your replies. No way I could ever make this happen without this forum.

    Marc.

Been looking for it today. Seems I can locate every part I have bought over the decades except that one of course.
