Got a few more hours of prep on the cowl b4 I can blast it and get it set in place,..hang the doors and then fit,..adjust pull and pry for nice gaps then sew it all up
Then change the marker light holes to the 69 rectangle ones,...weld the LH 1/4 in vs being brazed like it is now,...
Using a used 1/4 that's pretty solid,..needs a patch and pretty beat up but at least is one piece,...not a show car so just overlapping the wheel house and trunk dropoff,...no sense in wasting hours on doing but welds or replacing the whole house on this particular car,...
Reason for cutting the 1/4 like I did on the pass side was simply out of necessity because it had previously been put in at the peak,...driver side was a full 1/4,.. BUT,..leaving the trunk jamb and factory deck seam is the better repair for a few reasons,...it maintains the factory welds,..fitment,..and is faster,.. all positive
Welded from the backside except where the brace runs,...very minimal heat track,...absolutely no warpage,...will metal finish it completely,....technically you could poly prime it smooth,..no putty needed
