Complete Grant steering wheel kit (wheel, hub/adapter, and horn button) that I just took out of my 1972 Skylark because I found an original style wheel.

The hub/adapter works on GM steering columns from 1969-1993 I believe.

    Barely used - see pics.

$150 + shipping; I'm located in Grand Blanc, MI if you happen to be local.

    Hello.
What the diameter of the adaptor kit cup?
I tried researching on Grants website but, site wasn't at all clear about what fits what years.
    Thanks

Hi, sorry for the slow reply. For whatever reason I didn't get an email that someone replied to this thread. I'll check on it more regularly moving forward.

The outside diameter of the black cup is a hair over 4", like 4 1/32". I think that is what you were asking about; if you need any other measurements let me know.

    No problem.
I'm working on a 68 column, it's 3.75" OD where the column meets the steering wheel. That little bit of overhang could be ok. Another complication may be the depth of the cup and how deep the cast hub sets on the splines. The 68 column has a .690" OD shaft and about 5/32 from the turn signal lever to the end of the column housing. So if the adaptor assembly fits too "deep" it will hit the turn signal lever.
Too bad you're not just down the street for a test fit.

For what it's worth, the smooth part of the cast adapter is tapered and measures 0.71" in diameter close to the splines. The depth of the smooth part of the cast adapter is 0.56". The widest part of the splines is 0.69", and they're about 0.44 deep. The cast adapter is about an inch tall overall.

I don't know the nitty gritty details between the 1968 and down vs 1969 and up columns, aside from the key being on the column for 1969+.
