I was admiring Buiick's Velite concept car and found out it has a 6L80-E trans that will be offered in 2005 on some GM cars. Will it have a BOP pattern and would it be available as a crate trans? How about some feedback. Thanks!
Because its being bolted up to that brand new 3.6 liter VVT V6, I doubt it'll bolt up to the older style BOP engines, probably gonna be a corporate pattern. Based on the way that GM works these days, I doubt they'll offer it seperately as a performance item.
It wont take long for the aftermarket to offer adaptors and strength upgrades for these things. I was already planning my own six-speed autmatic (TH-400 + Gear Vendors), but I may wait a while now. :Brow: Will prolly take longer than I want to wait though.
