Hey! Enough of the "horrible" and "terrible" stuff. Wife is now 3x cancer survivor. She's got titanium on the left side of her head to prove it, that was 2009. And yes, they don't remove the screws, so can be felt when touching her scalp! I was wondering "why can't they countersink those? She's laughing with me about that always. Yup, brain surgery. Anyway, it's all about fortitude. We still battle her epilepsy but endure. Devon
Byron, congrats on the sale of your car. I don't know what the result of the PET scan was but I pray both you and his wife can stay strong and be not afraid. We were talking about patron saint names on the beach yesterday and I thought I would look up the prayer for Saint Matthew. I found it calming and reassuring, hopefully you will too. Saint Matthew, you made your peace with God through Jesus, now please help me to make mine. Help me also to sow peace wherever I may go, just as you did, as a witness to Jesus Christ, and please intercede with Jesus in asking him to grant my desperate request, (STATE REQUEST). Amen.
Byron, Wifey Christina says "f***k cancer. Done it and will deal with what comes." Strongest person I have ever known. Devon
Fellow Buick Members - I want to thank you for all your beautiful responses. My bride has from time to time thought the Buick group was something I made up - I would read her or tell her something from a post, she would get that “that’s nice” look in her eyes. Today she read the responses and was quite moved as am I. We received a call from Matt on Thursday afternoon, the results of the PET scan are that he has cancer in the Colon (as known) cancer in his Liver - (suspected) cancer in lymph nodes, but his lungs are full of nodules but they are not cancerous. The mood for Matt has turned 180 degrees - he is now ready to take on the fight as he has a path forward. The term Stage 4, is no longer on the table. After his surgery on Tuesday, Chemo and radiation will be in play - It will most likely be a long 6 months or so for Matthew, but he has a path forward and that is all he needs. From my beautiful bride of 50 years and myself, we want to thank you for your heartfelt responses, and more importantly your prayers. We believe prayers have make the difference for all of us. They always have, and always will. With the kindest thoughts and appreciations - Byron & Gail
