I gotta say: while these concours cars look nice and everything, I'll take a solid driver that's undergone a "preservation" any day. Nothing like owning a $100K car you don't want to drive.
Agreed, but most of the cars left on the road have been run through the wringer or worse. Consider yourself lucky if you have a car that actually can be preserved. That said, I would still drive the piss out of the $100k car, once I get all my awards for provenance
That looks sweet. I’d drive it too. Just got about 200 miles on mine since restoration. Automatic though. No clue what to do to get awards. Trying to get to GS nationals for my first time in 2023 but don’t think my Tacoma can tow it.
I thought about that but just starting to shake the car down. Working on the trust factor. Need to get someone to review my work (first time restoring a car) and make sure mechanically sound just I. Case I missed something. Need to take it on highway next. Just been cruising back country roads. Plus 500 miles one way and 7 mpg’s gonna be a lot of stops. Lol yeah, I’ve been looking at U haul and trailer rental. Like $1000. I’ll have to look into enterprise and then trailer separately. definitely! Plus I want to meet everyone on here that’s helped me out restoring. Been trying to find a lighter trailer than like an aluminum to rent thinking the Tacoma can handle that and the Buick.
2020 sold for 110,000 including fees . Burgundy 4-speed high bid to 116 ? Plus 5% =121,800 on bat . Sold after , ASSuming for more than that ?? Seems like the boo boo’s ?? Should get their money back on a Thornton restoration. Glacier white is clean .
