Trying to pin down date codes on known original parts vs production date Saw a 70 stage 1 the other day. Legit barn find. Stickers on windshield from 1983. Untouched. Production date on trim tag was March Carb was a 246 dated 2189 Dist was a 2016 dated 9L4 Tim's white X #575(?) at cecil had a 2016 in it dated 9G15. Post up your born with stage 1 carb and date codes.
That same date coded distributor was used all the way to 71 Stage 1. There is a big thread on them somewhere
