Hi sorry for the delay. I am actually going to re-make the mold. Since I lost the backing, I cant get it square enough for my liking. I can get them close, but you know how it is. I will throw the current mold on ebay, and see what it fetches, and I have already started the plans for mold #2, and this time it will be an exact grill, both front and back. So basically, I am going to make the next mold an exact replica. I have learned from my mistakes, and this time the mold will have re-inforcements to keep it square.

Yeah, I still plan on doing it, if I can get away from hurricane preparedness long enough to prep the master again..... I do have another grill I just repaired from the mold, if anyone needs any parts made to do the same, I can work something out with ya. I have to admit, its nice being able to pour the parts needed for the repair.....

I will get to it soon.

All I really need is an outer piece located on the bottom of the passenger side. I can send you a pic of the missing piece of mine if it would help.

Yeah, send me the pic. I can give you soemthing to start with...... I have to sand them down sometimes, but its better to have too much material, than not enough. Send the pic to jhecht@tampabay.rr.com. depending on teh size, the cost will be negligible....

The mold is actually on ebay right now, so I cant make any pieces from it. I have actually begun the process to make mold #2. The master grille is ready, and it just needs to be molded against now. This time I wont let ya'll rush me! Just kidding..... This mol dwill be a 2 piece mold, and will be injected instead of poured. This WILL come to fruition. Lots of design went into this one. I will update you as I progress..

    Thanks,
    -Jon

Hey didn't you just buy some hood scoops from me? the mold is made out of rubber, and I was pouring a resin material in them, but I think I am going to use a composite plastic this time. Got a couple things to look in to. This is a lot of work making this mold, and I made an injection sytem for it also.

I lov ethe enthusiasm! I sprayed the master with epoxy primer last night, so its ready. All I have left to do now is soem prep work for the pour. If this turns out as expected, you will see 68 and 69 GS grilles following.

I do have an extra 71 GS grille currently if anyone is interested. Its on ebay right now, but I will end it for what it closed at before. It ended at $677 plus ship. It has been repaired, but very respectable grille.

The guy got mad cause I wouldn't accept a credit card. He is still sending me emails stating how much of a loser I am..... He needs a hobby!

    Let me know...
