Yes, there was a delay in the mold, as the chem I was gonna use to inject them turned out to not handle heat so well, so before I cast the mold, I wanted to identify the material. I have been talking to someone who is good with the resins, and we have come up with a good very hard resin that they use in engine compartments of boats. This stuff is gonna be good as steel.

Jon ,I give up ....I obviously have NO IDEA OF HOW TO USE THIS NEW FANGLED INTERNET TECHNOLOGICAL GAGA ....,As i have posted ,posted and re-re-reposted messages asking for assistance in getting a Grille ,or atleast on how to use this website properly,,yet have recieved none of the above. In other words ,,,it appears this message will join all the other ones ,spinning around in space ,with no clear destination...HOWEVER,If some one get's this message ,would you please let Jon know I've been trying to reach him ,and I still need a Grille for my '71 GS Convertible,,, I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE YOUR ASSISTANCE....IF NO ONE GET'S THIS MESSAGE ,THAN I AM BRAINDEAD ,,AND WILL SIMPLY FADE AWAY ,,LEAVING YOU GOOD FOLKS TO YOUR GS WEBSITE WITHOUT FURTHER DISTRACTION FROM ME..........Thanks ,,,Lou.

Hey Lou, I don't know what's going on either but I reckon it's technical problems. Looking for a 71GS grille is like chasing the holy grail. I think the silence isn't because we don't want to help, we just can't. Everybody's in the same boat. Watching and waiting for a solution.

We can all see your last few messages just fine. Jon has posted that he is only now working on making the mold, and then it will be probably a few weeks longer before any finished parts come out of it.
If you click on the blue dot next to his user name it will give you the option to e-mail him directly.
    Hope that helps

Hi Guys, yes I am am still working on it, just my cute littel boy has me all distracted. Hes 5 months now, and I dont find as much garage time as I used to. Its almost to that state, just needs a littel more attention. The way this will probably work out is I will manufacture them, and then hand deliver them to the GS Nats this year. I have had it with UPS and their shipping. I do think though that I will cover teh grills in saran wrap, and then encase them in insualtion foam. That way they are protected, and the foam is easily cut. The saran wrap will keep the foam from sticking to the grille. Sorry your having trouble with the site Lou, I try to respond when I can. I am very busy at work, and cant get to the site as often as I woudl like. Lots of computers to program ya know?

well ,atleast someone got my message ...

To Whomever replied to my "distress call" yesterday ,,I thank you ...And I am sure that people would love to be of assistance ....but if I can't get they're message and they can't get mine ,it "Ain't gettin' done !",,I got a message from a guy who thinks I am selling him a Hood !?and he's wondering why i haven't replied ...I CAN'T .I don't know who he is ,This is a mess...SO,,,While I can see the Grille is a real pain in the butt to find, overall ...I am having an added pain in the butt because I can't reach anyone and they can't reach me......Anyway ,,enough rant ,Thanks for trying ,whomever you are ..(I feel like the guy on a beach with a note in the bottle .........)..Lou

    71 Grill under construction

    Jon,
If the new mold turns out as well or better than the last I still want 1, I still feel bad for the guy who bought that grill from you earlier this year and the mail guys ended up turning into a jigsaw puzzle. Hows the new baby? Make George go over and help you "get er done" lol. He will probably work for grill.

    Steve
P.S. I still want one this next go round! :TU:

NOt sure on the cost yet. This one is going to be more complicated, but will be an "almost" exact replica of my GS grille. It will have a couple mods to it, to make the molding possible, but will be only enhancements. From the front it will look exact. I will get to it soon, now that the weather makes it possible to be in the garage. Summer is not a time in FL to be outside in the garage. :af:

Yes,I still plan on it. It must seem like I am a huge procrastenator, but rather the opposite. I have more projects going right now then I am comfortable with. I am trying to eliminate them prior to starting another one.

    Jon,
Sounds like your priorities are right. Child first, then all other things. Have fun while the kid is young. I hope to get back to the nationals this year, so maybe I can get one from you there. Thanks for the work.
