It says L75 455 4bbl V8! I dont think that is Stage 1 is it? What is L75 code Buick Engine in 71? Dustin
Here's the build sheet from my Fremont-built 71 GS455 on George's site: http://www.buickperformance.com/bldsht.htm I gave the original to the person who bought it from me, but I still have a photocopy. It looks like it was an L74 (not a Stage 1). Maybe the L75 was the Stage 1??? Someone will know the answer.
I think you are mistaken. Someone correct me if im wrong but the code A1 will not show up on the lower section of the build sheet with all the options listed out. They are two different types of codes. Someone will know for sure. The engine code Example (TS or L75?)is what you would go by. I dont think STAGE 1 will be spelled out plain as day on a Build sheet! All wrong I had the seller read me out the far right hand corner of the build sheet (the part you cant see) the code, w something was there cant remember,beside the code was "Stage 1 Option" by the trim and so forth. As for the small boxes up top. The car was built late, so they put the code OW for the trans intead of BB, and the engine code SM. this car is the real deal, and the VIN matches the Sheet -Jake
