Still looking! Need a good working set of horns for my 71 GSX. Need both high and low. Removed first post because I thought I found a set. But no good. Tried The Parts Place and their welded factory type are not correct. If I was to spend $149.00 dollars for new horns I expect them to be correct.
I have two milk crates full of horns. Is there a date code your looking for ? I do remember seeing a letter code, not sure the meaning. Nice original paint. John
Date code not important to me, just need a high tone and low tone. PM me with amount and shipping to a business 17701 along with payment preference. Thanks
according to my notes.... buick skylark used the same 9000 491 492 horns from 65-72 can any one else verify ?? I have a loud 491 and a whimpy 492 if needed october and november 68 for a 69 Scott
They seem to have letter codes one them. Not sure if this corresponds to the note? I had a "D" horn in my 1968, which died and I was able to replace it with another horn with a different letter. I have also been told that if you hook the horn up to power and hit it with a hammer sometimes they break loose. This didn't work for mine...
I would consider any date horns. My build date is 04D. I need one high and one low that work. If anyone would consider selling one of each, please PM me with price include shipping to 17701
I beg to differ the letter is NOT the date code the date code is in the right corner across from the part number 8K5 on my working horn = 8=1968 K=october 5 = 5 th week over 500 horns in stock ,.,, our year s 9000 delco horns came in 4 notes ,, 2 very common 1 common 1 a bit more rare Scott
