All I know is when I bought the car I was told it was special ordered with this paint color which was verified by the BCA at the time because I knew members in the club that checked out my car after I bought it. I have this attachement that shows only three were made in this color since it was extra cost for 72.

Attached is the breakdown sheets of how many GS's had this color in 72. 3 total Supposedly this is a Sloan document

Thanks guys for posting your info also.

Gotta get back to work, lunch is over have a good one

Bill, the production numbers I referenced above are for all GS models, the 350, 455, and Stage 1.

The Sloan document you have is solid proof that there were only 3 Stage 1's painted Vintage Red. And yours is the only one with a white vinyl top.

Very interesting. Accordingto what I posted it would've definitely been a special order color. So your Vintage Red w/white top is actually 1 of 1!

Beautiful Big Block Buick Bill :) Speaking of blocks, you mentioned the car has '71 heads, is the block a '71 as well?

Good for him. He had a good base to start with and did a lot to it to make it correct. Hope he gets what he’s asking!

Thanks Bill, you did give me a god base to start with, and it has come up a few notches after many dollars and hours. Just to clarify though, I sold the car to this dealer for WAY less thanhe is now asking. I think he's hoping for the Barrett-Jackson effect since the circus is in town and he gets lots of traffic now.

So, is there any truth to what the current dealer said when he told me that he bought the car from the owner of the MCACN show?

I could like the car a lot more, but at a price somewhere between the $30K of a few years back and the current $71K asking price.

I have no idea of what the buyer does for a living. Never asked and really none of my business

I appreciate that, however I asked the question as I wanted to know if I was dealing with an honourable individual.
