George I could use the sill plates if the are the same as my 75 grandville convert, and if they are in somewhat good shape.

Solid car. It's a loaded '76 Electra Limited Landau. It even has an electric sunroof. 71K miles. Shame. It doesn't belong there. It will be in the crusher soon.

Just talked to the guy that is friend's with the original owner of the car. Was on CL for a couple thou and ended up junked at LKQ for $400. Nothing wrong with it and no rust . Running and driving with 76K miles so it has a good 455. I just removed all the power sunroof components. Tilt/ telescoping column is gone and engine brackets/carb. Posi rear is a 2.56 10 bolt. What a real waste . I HATE LKQ and people that junk rare cars like this. It will be gone forever by next week.

I don't get that it doesn't sell for a couple thousand but they'll junk it for $400 instead if selling it to someone that would keep is together.

I don't get it either. But, eh, I got all the sunroof parts to repair my '72 Riviera roof.

Smokey15 So old that I use AARP bolts.

Makes no sense to me either. Just goes to show the stupid people ratio is on an upswing.

I get it, why they do that. I had a project car I had $2000 in. I liked it and was told it was desirable by members of the car's specific forum. Heck, it had a forum/website devoted to it. I tried getting 50 cents on the dollar for it through that forum and craigs list when I decided to go a different collecting route.

Nobody wanted it and you get a million stupid lowball texts, or you run a comprehensive craigs list ad and people still ask questions that would have been answered in the ad! After a while, I dropped the price, and dropped it and still no one. So I put it on ebay at no reserve and it sold for $305. After ebay takes their cut, and my time is spent helping the dumb arse UShip hauler I lose 105% of my $2000 investment.

A '76 2dr. sold for over $2,600, here in MI, at auction last month. It was in decent shape, but not near mint. I was a player up to around $1,700. If I bought it, it would be to flip and I figured that was 'all the money'.

That's too bad. Solid body parts. Good 455.Posi rear. Excellent set of chrome road wheels. Gone forever.

dangerous to try and make money on a off year full size. wish I could make more in parts sales off the cars I have posted from/in the El Paso yards, but just not enough market.

There are a few of us "buyers" out there. It is a bit of a double edged sword, the less demand the more Full sized Buicks that will be scrapped.
Eventually there will be very few around and the value of the car and their parts will start to climb steadily
