I'm actually going corporate. If it was in better shape I would consider going big block. I'd rather blow my budget on power train rather than paint and body work.

    6.0? I run a L-96 6.0 and it’s simply amazing with just headers and a tune.

Winner winner chicken dinner!! Its a LQ4 thats all that was available at my local yard. Had my heart set on a LY6 or LQ9 but this will do.

As much as I want boost im gonna wait for now. I still have the transmission and rear end to build. This thing will be a tamed grocery getter for now. But with a nice lob.

Hearing you say what he made with his LQ4 makes me feel better about mine. Its not the most sought after 6.0 but sounds like it will get the job done for the numbers im looking to push.

yes people get caught up in part numbers and specs but any LS makes insane power with boost. heck I just bought a CSU carb from a guy who had it on a LM7 with only a cam and it did 1000 hp to the tires.

My neighbor makes these manifolds. Use a stock drivers manifold routed to the passenger. You can even run it NA and then bolt on a turbo later. That’s what I’m doing on my TBSS.

Cleaned up decently. Found some rust beneath the passenger rear seat. Not worried about it at all, not building a trailer queen.

Found the build sheet behind the rear seat. Built in Ohio before being shipped out to Steve Johnson Pontiac GMC Jeep in Colorado Springs, CO.

Straightedge out some trim last night.

Dropped the inside heater box to remove the heater core.
