Not mine. Looks super clean. That crazy 3 lever shifter is awesome! It's in my town so if someone is seriously considering it I can go get more pics and info. https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/barrie/1983-hurst-oldsmobile-cutlass-rare/1548676778
It's in CDN$$ if that makes a difference in your opinion. GN'S in good condition are pretty expensive up here too!
I like the silver '84s better, but these are my favorite G-bodies by miles as far as looks and features that go along with them. Not fast with the 307, but a swap is cake, and...LIGHTNING RODS!....I will own one someday.
When you factor in the really good 200-R4, 8.5 rear, 3.73 gears, suspension upgrades and styling, it’s like Olds’ engineers were saying ‘here ya go-all it needs is an engine swap!’ Patrick
Can someone explain to me how the lightening rod shifters work? They look insane. I have a friend in Seattle that has the car Lucas pictured...
Lighting rod shift was ok if you had a bum left leg... So you could imagine driving a stick.... Or better yet cant operate a clutch,,To me they where a joke when new.. Today something different but nothing to write home about.. Now find a twin-stick that could worth a letter. Those are rare....
I had and sold a driver quality 84 Hurst olds t top a year or two ago. Very cool car. Although I never did get comfortable in those 1980s buckets. The best performance gain from the stock setup is hands down an ECM chip. It made a noticeable difference, but still wouldn't get out of it's own way with that 307. The lightning rods- drivers side stick is your P r n OD 3. When that stick is all the way back in 3, the center stick can come back for manual 2. When center stick is back in manual 2, the passenger side stick can come back for manual 1. From a dead stop there like at a drag strip, rpm thru 1 then bump right stick forward for 2. Rev thru 2 then bump center stick forward for 3.
