Got another question for the experts here. I need to rebuild/reseal the HVAC box on the 72. It has A/C. There is a kit by Soffseal that is GM licensed part number 5089. Some sites say it fits all GM A bodies other day it is only for Chevelle. Called Soffseal and they claimnit is only Chevelle. Are there differences in the HVAC box across the A bodies? Seems hard to believe.

They are the same... You can use the string caulk works nicely.

Thanks Nelson, appreciate the info. I expected they were the same. The crazy thing is when I talked to the rep at Soffseal they insisted there used to be a separate kit for Skylark but it has been discontinued.

I ended up purchasing the kit from TPP because it was the least expensive.
