Did you buy one Gary? I wish I had the funds. I finally bought a set of Stage 2 heads yesterday. I've been wanting them for many years.
I agree Gary. It would be nice to see some of the projects as they unfold. I know they're out there, as I've built a fair amount of Tomahawk oil pans so far. I will definitly get one for my next race engine build, but until that day when I'm ready (and can afford it), I hope like hell that my current 523 holds together!!! Let's see some pictures!! Steve
I did not buy one Tom,I'm at a crossroads right now and have not decided which direction to go for sure. If I had unlimited funds,I could probably get where I want to go w/ a Buick......However,That is not yet the case. Buick V8 Performance has sadly been left behind in my opinion. I was hoping a block would rejuvenate the cause but judging from what I've seen there are a few people that will improve their program w/ this block but a good number of them will be bought for novelty.....You know,The guy that wants to say "I've got a 572 Buick" at the car show
i havent decided how to build mine yet. id like to stay n/a but id like to see us get a head comparable to something like the pontiac guys have. otherwise 572" prob wont be much better than 500" Cody
Pontiacs definitely have it good.I just read an article on an A-body LeMans/Tempest that runs low 9's at 3700lbs. It was a 535 CI engine w/ 10" tires,Stock suspension and a T-400.
We may have it put together for divisional Super Gas race in May, depending on turn around time on some of the parts. Got a manifold done for 572 inches , single carb, pan and block are done. Working on a cam profile for lower rpm bigger cube and cyl head limited app..going in the SkyHawk. I'll add pictues as the motor comes together and finds it place in the chassi. Dan
