    Would this be the correct #'s Alternator for a 1971 GS ?

    That's an internal regulator alternator, so no. I think Buick went to internals regulators in 73 or 74 but dont quote me on that

    A 63 amp alt is off a big car.

    Fits a 71 Olds except Omega, heavy duty for AC + heater rear window, etc.
