American Racing makes a Rallye wheel that is close to the style of our Buick Rallies. Available in 15 x 7 or 15 x 8 with 4.5 in. back spacing. They weigh only about 19 lbs. which is about 6-7 lbs. lighter than the steel Buick wheels. I'm considering a pair for the rear with drag radials on them for track days. Has anyone bought them that can give a review? https://www.summitracing.com/parts/are-50158034500
I didn't get any response to this post last year so, let's try again. Since the repro 15 x 8s have back ordered for 8 months or so and not known when they will be available again, this wheel looks very close and I'm considering a pair of them to mount drag radials. Anyone know of them?
Look like these wheels? https://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/new-wheels-and-tire-combo.362559/ https://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/motor-wheel-corp-rally-wheels.362332/#post-3123411
The wheel in your original post looks like the Ford/Chevy/AMC/Mopar Magnum 500. It’s not a bad looking wheel. I prefer the factory wheel. That’s merely my opinion. Patrick
Yes, I prefer the factory wheel as well. But, right now, they're as scarce as hen's teeth and I'm trying to get ready for the Nats in May.
