Let us know about the tank - I'm thinking its a hose! Emissions, vents, fill - there are lots to fail!

While I'm here...the party still goes on. My rear end of the body is SHODDY! My car had been missing all of the rear taillight rubber fillers. Today, I replaced both taillight assemblies with some nice units (rubber in tact) that I scored off eBay about 3/4 years ago. Today, I finally installed them. The average person can't tell the difference from afar. But this upgrade makes a WORLD of difference to me. Also installed the rubber around the gas cap & license plate...forgot I even had that part in a box!

The bumper will be replaced within a few months. Can't find the rubber inserts/cushions anywhere, so they'll just be pulled from the current and glued on to the new bumper.

Thanks for sharing this. I see they have the pieces that attach to the taillight assemblies! https://replica-plastics.com/product/be-74-rrf-rear-right-filler/

One of my quarter panel extensions is starting to crack...good to options for a replacement.

I just did the tank on the '73 last year along with all the fuel lines. I had started a thread somewhere on here about it, never did post the finished pics, I'll try to get those up this weekend. I imagine the '76 is similar to the '73 so if you have any questions, let me know. Getting the new straps on was a major pain. I know I had to get a little creative with the strap bolts. Use floor jack and piece of wood to keep the tank in place.

I see what you mean about the '74 and gas tank. I am going to assume that the main (probably only) difference between all the gas tanks from '71-'76 B/C bodies is the filler neck to accommodate the slight differences in rear bumpers.
