I made the cut! So I can display my GS on Friday and Saturday inside the M1 Concourse, along the side the M1 track. Included with making the cut, are 4 general admission tickets (2 for each day) which include a dinner entre' all the pop or water, and up to 4 adult beverages per day. $400 value! https://woodwarddreamshow.com/saturday-cruisin-the-concourse-show/
I am heading up from South Florida this year for the B2B event as well as Frankenmuth and the PSMCD's in Stanton. I sit in the same spot every year for B2B. All are welcome to meet me. I will be in the parking lot of Mr. Front End on Saginaw Street on both Thursday night and Friday night. Lots of cars cruising up and down Saginaw both nights. Like Jim said, Saturday, the actual cruise day is a static event and most of the Buicks are parked at a Buick only lot across from the original Buick Factory one. Unfortunately my GS won't be making the trip but I'll still be heading up on Friday. Kinda bummed because my Buick is automatic and the car I'm taking now is a stick so probably just be parked from Saturday afternoon on. Don't want to get a single leg workout/ burn up my clutch in bumper to bumper traffic.
U.S. border will not be open to Canadians trying to cross to Detroit. And besides, your dept of Home Security does not recognize the Astra-Zeneca vaccine. What a bunch of crap!
I tried to order 2 tee-shirts & a mug from Eagraphics and there software does not recognize my Windsor address. They are attempting to resolve the problem.
Heading up there later this morning! Plan is to hit the Buick swap meet then do a little cruising and site seeing on the avenue before the weekend traffic. Anybody showing their car at the "Back to the Bricks" show?
Seen some nice cruising action for a couple of weeks now. You almost can't go wrong, even as a spectator. Lots of candy. Go if you can. I will spectate at the Bricks on Saturday though. Whatever you do , get out there!
I've been to B2B Buick only parking for a few years, i like it there. This year my uncle's taking his 87 LeSabre T-Type and I'm driving the Stage 1. He wants to park on the bricks or at least close by so i conceded and agreed. Should be fun and by the looks of the amount of cars during the warmup shows and cars around it's going to be big! Gary
If there’s anybody up there who is driving back to Florida or The Atlanta area, and could give a set of headers a ride, please PM me. Thank you
I hope to be around there today, some cruising and some spectating(if I can find a spot). Got to rev it up a little as it seems summer is shorter and shorter. Congrats to Kevin and Mart on the M1 invite. Way to represent! Both cars look great from what I remember.
The bridge & tunnel from Windsor to Detroit are closed for another month. Even if the border was open, I would not be allowed, at this time, to enter because I was vaccinated with AstraZeneca which some genii in Washington do not recognize as acceptable! I will have to watch the Cruise on local channel 7 from 7-9 pm. Maybe next year.
Hey Gerry, Look up WOMC live cam of Woodward. They supposedly live stream every day. Not sure if its only on facebook but, check it out as tomorrow radio show is live from Duggan's Pub there on Woodward..
In years past, I found Sunday, the day after the official Woodward Dream Cruise is a great day to actually drive your car up and down Woodward without getting stuck in the gridlock. Still plenty of classic cars out and about, so I would do Back to the Bricks on Saturday and Woodward on Sunday. Good times!
Well just saw the first tragedy on Woodward: a burgundy 66-67 GTO rear ended by a late model Subaru Was just getting loaded onto a flat bed when we drove by. Looked pretty bad for both cars. Didn’t get a pic but I don’t think anyone wants to see that anyway
